I keep saying that I'm going to do a better job at posting on here & don't...dang...
Anyway...here are a few thoughts running around in my mind...
Easter - we kicked off the service with a song by Christina Aguilera "Mercy on Me". Incredible song to intro "new" people to the story of what it's all about...and to Genesis as well. I was proud...
We had a guest band with us, Day of Grace, they did a great job. Day of Grace is our Worship Leader's band...We had Barry with us on sound too...The music & sound was off the chain - IMO. Great music...great lyrics for the day...I look forward to the day of having a full band each week. We will get there...
Easter, being as big a day as it is, hopefully leads to some kind of "gain" after that week. I mean it's cool to see the big numbers (our biggest day by far numerically), but if there isn't any change after...what happened? Well, I'm kind of glad I asked that...If they don't come back (or go to another church - which is fine too) then you at the very least hope that the "seed" planted that day will lead to some type of life eventually...I know that happens too - patience...We know that at least 16 people gave their life to Christ that day for the 1st time! Way cool.
I was proud of all the people that came together to make Easter happen. It takes a lot to pull that service off - thanks Genesis! You are incredible...
