Our Son - Ashton

Well - next on the list is Ashton, our son.

It's one of those - "ain't it funny how time flies" things.  He graduated this year!  Not only graduated, but like his older sister, graduated with honors, which is way cool.

Another piece to his senior year, was on the high school baseball team.  He has played baseball his entire life, since t-ball.  There has never been a season, spring or fall, that he's not played...that's a lot of time on the field...














For 2 years running, the Varsity team won the district title, which is a tough feat...but more incredible is that this year, they went on to win the State title as well!  i.e. They are Virginia State Champs...how cool.  Ashton was DH on the team & was able to make some timely offensive contributions to the teams' effort...They actually ended up being ranked 6th in the nation, after beating an undefeated (28-0 at the time (now 28-1) & ranked 3rd in the nation at the time) team for the title...too cool.





















But, now it's on to the next chapter of his life...he has decided to "hang up the cleats"...and see what's next for him & life.

All I know is that he has a great head on his shoulders...is incredibly focused...and will do very well in life.  Not to mention he has God on his side as well.

I couldn't be more proud.

Taylor's Talent

I need to catch up on a lot of things...so I'll start with our youngest - Taylor.

History - a few years ago a Children's staff member handed her a blank canvas & asked her to paint a picture for her office wall.  Well, being that Taylor had never - ever - painted before...it seemed like an "ok, whatever idea..."  Little did we know what was about to unfold.

Over the next several months, Taylor painted a few "really good for not having ever painted before" paintings...So, we put her in an art class to see what she could really do with some instruction.

Well, I'll just let her latest painting speak for itself.

Mind you - she just turned 10!  And these are 100% all her work - not another person touches them...We have several of these with the same "are you kidding me" talent going on...

I thought I'd add 1 more of my favs...from last years art collection...

We are now working on her own art website...to offer prints to those that might just want one of them.
